Through out the camp I had the chance to help youth players gain new skills and
develop skill they already have. We had opportunities for them to learn the
proper mechanics on how to throw, hit and run. The players were split into
three groups and each group attended a different station, then rotating through
each station to allow each player to have time to improve and progress in each.
After developing their own skills, the players were then split into two teams
where they then had to play as a team. Players from different communities were now
playing on the same team and against some of their close friends and teammates.
This allowed them to adapt to a new team and teach them that to be successful
they would have to work together regardless of where they lived, the position
they play and the age that they are.
